From the 1st of September 2021 England and Wales are changing the way lawyers from abroad can become a qualified solicitor. The new process is through sitting the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), this is the same exam taken by domestic solicitors. The SQE has replaced the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS) and is open to candidates from all jurisdictions. The new process provides an expedited path for individuals to become qualified solicitors in England and Wales.

This seminar will introduce the changes to the process of becoming a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and will help to answer any changes that you may have. We will also have an experienced panel of lawyers who will share their experience of studying and working in the UK before returning to China.
