China and the UK have carried out many exchanges and co-operation in pension system reform and investment over the past few years. As one of the first countries to establish a diversified pension system, the UK has conducted a lot of explorations in building a three-pillar pension system, pension investment and risk management, and pension ESG framework. With the official launch of the private pension system, the construction of China's multi-pillar pension system has entered a stage of rapid development. There is vast room for discussion and exchange between the two countries in terms of pension products, institutions, and systems.
During the visit of the Lord Mayor of the City of London and the CEO of the UK Investment Association to China, the British Embassy Beijing will host the 4th UK-China Pensions Conference on 20 March in Beijing (offline). Industry experts from both the UK and China will exchange views on hot topics such as pension system reform, technology-enabled pensions and pension investment.
