Event Language: both Chinese and English, with simultaneous interpretation
Event Introduction:
As China moves towards the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutral", energy conservation and emission reduction has become an increasingly important mission in the process of the sustainable development in China. The carbon emissions of the real estate industry involve the whole lifecycle of construction projects, from top level design, building materials transportation, construction process, to building operation, accounting for nearly half of the total carbon emissions in China. It is undoubtedly a key area in China's efforts to achieve the goal of "30/60". Among them, construction materials and building operation are the two most significant phases of reducing carbon emissions.
Promoting the development of green buildings and carbon reduction in buildings has always been the goal of the real estate industry and the long-standing common ground of cooperation between China and the UK. This webinar aims to systematically share UK expertise and practices in the decarbonisation pathway of the real estate industry. Speakers from British government departments and companies will elaborate from the aspects of government policy guidance, project top-level design and carbon reduction pathway, business model of decarbonisation of building materials, building energy efficiency, as well as financial tools.
This webinar is hosted by the UK Department for International Trade and co-organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce Construction Industry Commerce Chamber and PwC. This webinar will be conducted in both Chinese and English on Zoom platform, with simultaneous interpretation. Any questions related to the event, please contact Ruijie Wu at ruijie.wu@fcdo.gov.uk.
